2026 Southern Hemisphere Contest Winners
The winners’ envelop was passed to us late last night! And the nPAE 2026 Southern Hemisphere contest winner is…. Carlos from Argentina with NGC55 “String of Pearls Galaxy”. Congratulations!
This is a very well deserved win. With the equivalent of over 2 days’ worth of image capture time to produce an image that not only won the judges over, but also the astronomy public with 69% of the public vote.
Congratulations Carlos! £200 prize money will be on its way to you.
In 2nd place winning a £50 nPAE voucher is Gabriel from Argentina with the “Cosmic Collision” of NGC4038 & NGC4039. A beautiful shot!
In 3rd place winning an nPAE Gift Pack is Lorand from Hungary with the Blue Horsehead Supermosiac.
Many thanks to all those who entered. It’s impressive to see such detailed and thorough work from the best of the astro-photographical world.
Our final astrophotography contest of 2026 is the World Champion Public Vote where Carlos will go head to head against this year’s Northern Hemisphere winner and last year’s World Champion! Voting opens on the 16th October.
