NEAF 2026
The North East Astro Fair, or “NEAF” is the world’s largest astronomy and space exhibition and is held in Suffern, New York over two days annually in April. We grabbed our show kit bag and flew west!
For exhibitors NEAF starts the day before at the Sky and Telescope Reception held in the Crowne Plaza hotel. This year’s reception also happened to be the same evening as the Orion Capsule splash down, it was with great excitement we watched the return to earth.
NEAF is held in the Sports Hall of Rockland Community College and organised and hosted by Rockland Astronomical Club. The 2026 edition had 90 exhibitors and a very impressive line-up of speakers including Apollo Flight Directors, Astronauts and astronomers. nPAE was on stand 146 next to our friends Hands on Optics who we’d previously had the privilege to hang out with at the Winter Star Party.
NEAF is very much a who’s who of the astro world and there is an awful lot of very impressive hardware on show. You’ll see the whole range of Explore Scientific, Takahashi and some American brands that don’t always travel! Pictures make more of it than words so please enjoy our gallery. In addition to the exhibition and talks there was also the Kids Zone, a Planetarium show and observing outside. Everyone is available to chat and more than happy to.
This year’s NEAF was a very special event for nPAE, not least as we started our negotiation to become a Sky and Telescope Partner!
Thanks to Gary H, Greg B, Dr Simon B, Rod N and The Space Kola. See you at the next NEAF!
