Practical Astronomy Show 2026

It was a warm spring day at Stoneleigh Park, near Coventry UK for the 2026 instalment of the Practical Astronomy Show. This is the largest astronomy equipment show in the UK and the who’s who and what’s what of the UK astronomy manufacturers and retailers were present, including nPAE Precision Astro Engineering.

This was the first stop of our 2026 Flip Turret Tour. We even had a special setup so people could try the rotation mechanism.

The Practical Astronomy Show at Stoneleigh Park is best accessed by road just off the M40 / A46. It’s a 09:30 start so we stayed in the Stoneleigh Park Lodge Hotel just next door to the venue.

It’s an all-day event and a total equipment fest as there are no talks to distract you. Whilst it is out of town the hungry astronomy is not without eating options. The onsite Parks canteen offers a selection of fast food and the Farmers Fayre restaurant next door has a full menu of classic British dishes. There is also the ground floor restaurant in the Stoneleigh Park Lodge Hotel, which takes walk in’s.
